Reflection Six: ONE DAY AT A TIME

6.ONE DAY AT A TIME.jpg

To take, 'One Day at a Time' means to be present. Often it's easy to worry about things that are out of our control but it's so important to shift our focus onto what we CAN control- the here and now. Be patient with not only yourself, but your journey as well.

It's vital to understand that time will pass at its own pace- we cannot make time go faster or stop it from happening. Through difficult times however, know that you are gaining knowledge about life and about yourself, let go of whatever you can't control and let each day pass as it will.

Be sure to breathe deeply, slow down, and feel every moment of each day. Everyday we wake up we have the opportunity to recommit ourselves to the person we desire to be and to take a step forward in the direction of wherever our hearts lead us.

PRACTICE BEING PRESENT WITH MINDFULNESS - This not only reduces feelings of worry, which stops you focusing on the 'what ifs', but also improves cognitive ability and happiness levels in the long term

TAKE-HOME NOTES:

Embrace the unknown, trust the process and remember that everything that is yours will find you.
